Operation Family Fund Strengthens Ridgecrest Community Through Strategic Donations

Ridgecrest, CA — Operation Family Fund (OFF), a Ridgecrest-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting injured veterans and their families, has recently expanded its philanthropic efforts to help two vital local organizations: the Ridgecrest Veterans Advisory Council (RVAC) and Therapeutic Horsemanship of Ridgecrest (THOR).

These donations aim to enhance the services provided by both organizations, directly benefiting veterans and individuals with disabilities in the Ridgecrest community.

Empowering the Ridgecrest Veterans Advisory Council

RVAC plays a pivotal role in connecting local veterans with essential resources, organizing events like the Veterans Stand Down Resource Fair, and facilitating recreational activities such as horseback riding and off-road excursions to promote mental and physical well-being.

The contribution from OFF will enable RVAC to expand its outreach programs, ensuring that more veterans can access the support and camaraderie they deserve.

Enhancing Therapeutic Services at THOR

THOR offers PATH-certified equine-assisted therapy to individuals with disabilities, including veterans coping with post-traumatic stress.

OFF’s donation will help THOR maintain and expand its therapeutic programs, providing a unique and effective avenue for healing and rehabilitation.

A Unified Mission for Community Support

Operation Family Fund operates entirely through volunteer efforts, with no paid staff. It has provided over $2.5 million in grants to more than 2,300 families across the nation.

By supporting RVAC and THOR, OFF continues its mission to honor the sacrifices of American heroes, ensuring they and their families receive the assistance needed to achieve financial self-sufficiency and emotional well-being.
